Cloudmark Server Edition
Why does CSEsometimes miss spam messages caught by Cloudmark DesktopOne?
Sometimes a message arrives in a user's mailbox and is not classified as spam by CSE, but is caught by Cloudmark Desktop. This can happen for the following reasons:
- If Cloudmark Desktop checks the message before CSE does, then Cloudmark Desktop moves the message to the spam folder and CSE does not. The message is moved by the product that first checks it, and is not checked by the second product once it has been moved. This is the intended behavior when both products are installed.
- In rare cases, the message may be classified as spam by the Cloudmark network after CSE has checked it. Cloudmark Desktop may move the message after Cloudmark's end users provide feedback indicating that the message is spam. You can resolve this issue by configuring CSE to re-scan mailboxes periodically in order to apply the latest end-user feedback from Cloudmark.
