History:
Vipul Ved Prakash, creator of Vipul's Razor and founder of Cloudmark, is one of the earliest contributors to the SpamAssassin project with the Razor plugin back in 1998. While Authority and Razor share the same design principles of message fingerprinting with reputation-based feedback, Authority offers higher filtering accuracy together with carrier-class performance. Cloudmark Authority easily integrates into virtually any SpamAssassin environment. It fully leverages your pre-configured SpamAssassin processes, policies, rules, and databases. There's also no need for additional hardware or software to run Cloudmark Authority.

With Cloudmark Authority, administration and maintenance are dramatically reduced as updates are handled automatically. New definitions are delivered every 45 seconds to a local cache within Authority.
