Support for Microsoft Exchange 2010 - CSE 2.4 has been compatibility tested with Microsoft Exchange 2010. ENHANCEMENTS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Installer improvements - General improvements with machine installation. Improved CSE Administration Console - The CSE Administration Console includes general improvements, including the ability to manually rescan a public folder. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ IV. REQUIREMENTS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The requirements for Cloudmark Server Edition are described in the Cloudmark Server Edition Installation Guide. Permissions - The CSE admin user must have read/write access to Public Folders in order for CSE to move spam messages to a Public Folder destination. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ V. KNOWN ISSUES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Messages containing IPv6 headers from the local domain do not appear local to CSE - This has been resolved (See RESOLVED ISSUES below). However, you must use the host name, not the IPv4 address, of the Exchange server when configuring CSE. Manual Scanning of Public Folders with Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 - Messages may be stored in public folders as type IPM.Post instead of type IPM.Note and will not be considered for a manual scan. To change the default storage behavior of Exchange, see the following Microsoft KB article: Update to permit the caching of incoming SMTP messages as IPM.Note http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817809 Performance Monitoring - At this time, perfmon does not support the setting: "Language for non-Unicode programs" when the language is set to a different language than the default language of the OS. (e.g. if the default language of the OS is English then the "Language for non-Unicode programs" must also be set to English in order for perfmon to work) - There is also a known issue using perfmon on 64-bit Operating Systems, please refer to the following URL for instructions on how to run the MMC in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit OS: http://www.cloudmark.com/en/products/cloudmark-server-edition/help/monitoring Public Folder - Multiple installations of CSE in the same domain will create multiple Public Spam Folders. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VI. RESOLVED ISSUES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Certain malformed messages were causing CSE to abnormally terminate. - Messages missing the information in the From header were not parsing correctly. This has now been fixed. - Messages beginning with a non-RFC822-compliant were not parsing correctly. This has now been fixed. Messages containing IPv6 headers from the local domain do not appear local to CSE - If IPv6 is enabled on the CSE server, CSE will now successfully detect when messages originate from an IPv6 local domain. You must use the host name, not the IPv4 address, of the Exchange server when configuring CSE. Whitelist size limit reached in the - The limit to the number of entries in the whitelist has been removed from the Administration Console. Large numbers of entries, however, may cause a delay in displaying the server configuration dialog. Messages may become unreadable in Outlook when running CSE with Exchange 2010 - Under certain conditions some messages scanned by CSE would not open in Outlook, although it was still possible to access them via Exchange's webmail interface. The problem has been addressed and fixed. After being permanently deleted, the Spam folder does not recreate itself when new spam arrives - This has now been corrected. If the user hard-deletes a local Spam folder CSE will recreate it at start up or when a spam message arrives Automatic Report Graph Creation crash - Daily and Monthly report graph creation tool no longer crashes when called by CSE Upgrading from versions prior to 2.3 would not properly update the service - Upgrading for earlier versions now update all relevant files Connectivity over HTTP - Small connectivity fixes related to the use of HTTP proxies Problems with filtering mailboxes that are over quota - Mailboxes that are restricted from sending and receiving when over quota no longer cause problems with CSE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VII.
