NEW FEATURES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Latest Cloudmark Fingeringprinting Algorithms - CSE 2.2 contains all of the very latest Cloudmark Fingerprint Algorithms including a new fingerprinting scheme that is targetted at Nigerian and "lonelygirl" spam. Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (version 2.2.0.12 and higher) - CSE 2.2 has been compatibility tested for Windows Server 2008. Note: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 requires MAPI/CDO to be installed in order to work properly with CSE, please refer to the CSE Admin Guide for more details. Additional Graphical Reports - CSE adds two new daily graphical reports that show: - Hourly filtering for the last 24 hours - Daily filtering for the last 30 days ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ III. ENHANCEMENTS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Installer improvements - Easier to install and uninstall CSE and the Management Console (MMC) at different times. Improved logging - Additional logging makes it easier to resolve any issues that come up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ IV. REQUIREMENTS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The requirements for Cloudmark Server Edition are described in the Cloudmark Server Edition Installation and Administration Guide. Permissions - The CSE admin user must have read/write access to Public Folders in order for CSE to move spam messages to a Public Folder destination. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ V. KNOWN ISSUES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Performance Monitoring - At this time, perfmon does not support the setting: "Language for non-Unicode programs" when the language is set to a different language than the default language of the OS. (e.g. if the default language of the OS is English then the "Language for non-Unicode programs" must also be set to English in order for perfmon to work) - There is also a known issue using perfmon on 64-bit Operating Systems, please refer to the CSE Admin Guide for instructions on how to run the MMC in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit OS. Public Folder - Multiple installations of CSE in the same domain will create multiple Public Spam Folders. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VI. RESOLVED ISSUES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Connectivity over HTTP - Small connectivity fixes related to the use of HTTP proxies Problems with filtering mailboxes that are over quota - Mailboxes that are restricted from sending and receiving when over quota no longer cause problems with CSE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VII. INSTALL NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you were running a beta version of Cloudmark Server Edition 2.2, please take note of the following steps before installing this version: If the CSE Administration Console is installed on the same machine as the CSE server: 1. Go to Add/Remove Programs (or equivalent) 2. Click on Remove/Change for Cloudmark Server Edition 3. Uncheck Cloudmark Server Edition Administration Console, leave Cloudmark Server Edition checked. 4. Continue through the installer to remove just the Administration Console. 5. Run the release installer. It will upgrade Cloudmark Server Edition to the the latest version. 6. Run the release installer once more. Add in the Administration Console. If just the CSE Administration Console is installed on a given machine: 1. Uninstall the console via Add/Remove Programs 2. Re-install the console with the release installer.
