Cloudmark Server Edition

"Cloudmark Server Edition Setup was unable to activate this product on the server. Check that you have a connection to the Internet."

If you have NetBIOS over TCP/IP disabled, you may receive this error when trying to install CSE.

How to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP

  1. Open the Network Connections control panel.
  2. Right-click the Local Area Connection to open the pop-up menu.
  3. Select Properties.

    The Local Area Connection Properties window appears.

  4. From the list, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
  5. Click the Properties button.

    The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window appears.

  6. Click the Advanced button.
  7. Click the WINS tab.
  8. Select "Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP".
  9. Click OK.
  10. Restart the CSE service.

If this does not resolve the problem, please create a request for help and indicate that you have verified that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled.
