When I check for updates, the command fails.

The Check for Updates command can fail for two reasons:

  • You are not connected to the Internet.
  • The updates service is temporarily unavailable.

Check your Internet connection. If you are connected to the Internet but the Check for Updates command still fails, you can work around this problem by downloading the update from the Web site:

http://cloudmark.com/desktop/download/
