I'm in Offline Mode with Exchange, and messages aren't being removed from my Inbox.

If you are using Microsoft Outlook to connect to a Microsoft Exchange Server and spam and phishing are not being removed from your Inbox while Outlook is in Offline Mode, try the following solutions:

How to make the spam folder available in Offline Mode

  1. From the Tools menu in Outlook, select Send/Receive Settings > Define Send/Receive Groups.

    The Send/Receive Groups window appears.

  2. Select the All Accounts group.
  3. Click the Edit... button.

    The Send/Receive Settings window appears.

  4. Make sure that your spam folder is selected.
  5. Click OK to close the Send/Receive Settings window..
  6. Click OK to close the Send/Receive Groups window.
