I'm behind a firewall. How do I configure Cloudmark Desktop?

If you are using Cloudmark Desktop in an environment that includes a firewall or proxy server, then you may receive an "Unable to Connect" error unless you configure Cloudmark Desktop for compatibility with your environment.

How to configure Desktop for use with a firewall or proxy server

  1. Ask your system administrator whether the firewall restricts access to a limited set of IP ranges.

To connect to Cloudmark, you must be able to access the following IP range, configurable by your administrator:

    208.83.136.0 - 208.83.139.255
  2. Ask your system administrator for the IP addresses of your organization's proxy servers.

This may include a DNS proxy, an HTTP proxy, or a SOCKS proxy.

  3. In the Cloudmark Desktop toolbar, open the Cloudmark menu.
  4. Select Options.

The Cloudmark Desktop Options window appears.

  5. Click the Firewall tab.
  6. Enter the information provided by your system administrator.
  7. Click OK.
