How do I check for spam and phishing messages already in my Inbox?

Normally, Cloudmark Desktop only checks messages as they arrive. You can also use it to scan the messages that are already in your email folders. For example, you may want to do this if you have just installed Cloudmark Desktop and you want to cleanse old spam and phishing messages from your mailbox.

How to scan a folder for spam and phishing in Outlook

  1. Open the Cloudmark menu.
  2. Select Scan Folder Now....
    Show me:

    The Select Folders window appears.

  3. Select the folder you want to scan.
  4. Click OK.

    Cloudmark Desktop scans each message in the selected folder and moves spam and phishing messages into your spam folder.
