Cloudmark Desktop failed to load a list of folders to scan.

Microsoft Outlook users may see an error that says "Cloudmark Desktop failed to load the list of folders to scan." This problem can be resolved by removing all folders from the list of folders to scan, then re-adding them.

How to remove and re-add folders to the list of folders to scan

  1. From the Cloudmark menu, select Options....

    The Cloudmark Desktop Options window appears.

  2. Click the Folders... button.

    The Auto Scan Folders dialog appears.

  3. For each folder in the list, select the folder and click the Remove button.

    If you have folders that Cloudmark Desktop does not allow you to remove, you can safely ignore them.

  4. For each folder that you want Cloudmark Desktop to scan automatically, click the Add button and select the folder to re-add to the list.
  5. When you are finished, click OK to close the Auto Scan Folders dialog.
  6. Click OK to close the Options window.
  7. Close Outlook.
  8. Start Outlook.

    The error should no longer appear. If the error continues, please submit a Request for Help
