Cloudmark Extends Market Leadership With Record Growth in 2007

Cloudmark Grew Revenue 70 Percent and Established Itself as the #1 Messaging Security Provider for Carriers; Company Now Protects More Than 300 Million Mailboxes at More Than 100 Mobile Operators and Service Providers Worldwide

San Francisco, January 30, 2008 – Cloudmark, Inc., the global leader in carrier-grade messaging security, today announced record growth in 2007 that further expanded the company's share of the service provider messaging security market. Cloudmark's revenue grew 70 percent during 2007 and the company added more than 40 new customers worldwide. In addition, Cloudmark achieved a 100 percent retention and licensing renewal rate from existing customers.

In 2007, the company established itself as the #1 messaging security provider in North America, with implementations at 11 of the top 12 largest ISPs, including EarthLink, Comcast and Cox Communications. Cloudmark also continued its market leadership in Japan, with deployments at 7 of the top 10 service providers. Moreover, 2007 marked a year of seminal growth in Europe with numerous tier-one customer deployments in Europe, such as Swisscom and THUS (Demon). In 2007, Cloudmark also launched its mobile solutions business with strategic mobile operator wins worldwide. Today, the company's solutions protect more than 300 million mailboxes worldwide.

"During 2007, we further solidified our position as the world's leading independent provider of messaging security solutions," said Hugh McCartney, CEO of Cloudmark. "Most of this success can be attributed to our focus on delivering solutions that combine the performance and scalability demanded by the carrier market, combined with a level of accuracy that is second to none. From combating the growing issue of botnets to stopping mobile abuse, no other company in the world is better at helping service providers address the evolving threat landscape."

More than 100 service providers worldwide trust Cloudmark to protect its subscribers against spam, virus, worm, and phishing attacks. These providers rely on Cloudmark's industry-best accuracy to dramatically reduce abusive e-mail, and mobile messaging traffic, which can impact operations, raise infrastructure costs and, most importantly, damage the customer experience.

2007 Company Milestones

In addition to increasing its market share in the carrier-grade messaging security market, Cloudmark reached additional significant milestones that have extended the company's market lead over its competition. These include:
